July 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Event date: Friday, July 11, 2014
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— In recognition of National Ice Cream Month, over 35 local celebrities will serve up delicious ice cream sundaes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, as part of the American Dairy Association Indiana’s 25th annual Ice Cream Social, located on the southeast quadrant of Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis.
For the second consecutive year, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana will benefit from all proceeds, which amounted to over $8,200 last year.
With a $3 donation, giant sundaes feature Edy’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream, topped with the choice of Kroger’s chocolate, strawberry or caramel syrups (a sugar-free caramel option will also be available), as well as jumbo maraschino cherries, sprinkles and Prairie Farm’s whipped cream. Girl Scouts contribute trefoils, thin mints and do-si-do cookie crumbles as toppings, too.
