Cris from Recipes that Crock here!
I am excited to share with you one of my favorite fall drinks that you make and keep warm in your crock pot!
I call it Crock Pot Hot-NOT-Chocolate 😉
Now, don’t get me wrong… I LOVE me a good hot chocolate with a handful of mini marshmallows or better yet a nice dollop of whipped cream on top. But, sometimes a girl is in the mood for a hot beverage of a different variety.
And this recipe hits the spot around the campfire or after a late night hay ride… or even this winter after a day in the snow.
All you do is throw a half gallon of whole milk into the slow cooker at a few ingredients and pop it on low for a few hours and soon you’ll have deliciousness in a mug!
You can make this a million different ways by substituting out the extracts for other ones or adding different add ins. Below is an almond flavored version that would have been made perfect if I had just had a cherry to put on top ;).
Psst… One version I can’t wait to try is using a little peppermint extract and candy canes as stirrers and I just might get around to it this holiday season!
However you whip it, Crock Pot Hot-Not-Chocolate is sure to keep you and yours warm and toasty. Enjoy!
