Dairy Week in Review (04/06-04/10)

We’re excited to bring you another Dairy Week in Review! Last week, we provided many great activities, moooovies, and updates.

Monday, April 6th

This week on Moooovie Monday, we shared one of our new virtual dairy farm tours! Follow Indiana Dairy Farmer, Jill Houin of Homestead Dairy, as she shows off her family’s dairy farm. Here’s a secret…you get to meet some of her fantastic dairy cow friends and the calves too! You can check out the tour for yourself below.

Tuesday, April 7th

Do you know where foods like milk, cheese and yogurt come from? Only about 2% of Americans live on farms today, which means many of us don’t have a connection to where our food comes from.

You can test your knowledge by taking the Modern Dairy Farming quiz we shared on Tuesday!

Wednesday, April 8th

If you’re in need of an activity to get you up and moooving, look no further! Wednesday, we shared a great activity from our partners at Action for Healthy Kids. Check out how you can create your own backyard fitness course! This is a great activity for all ages, and helps get everyone outside and active.

Thursday, April 9th

Leading up to Easter last week, we thought it would great to share with you all a great craft idea. Check out this great video of two of our former dietetic interns as they take you through a step-by-step process of how to make your very own bunny planter made out of an empty milk half gallon!

Friday, April 10th

Our friend, Indy 500 winner, and Indy Car driver, Simon Pagenaud showed us and dairy farmers love on Good Friday. While the Indy 500 was postponed until August, Pagenaud couldn’t help but reminisce his big win in 2019. #WinnersDrinkMilk
