Q & A With “Big Q” Quenton Nelson

Our current player ambassador is two-time All-Pro Offensive Guard, Quenton Nelson! Quenton has been a phenomenal asset to the Colts and to the Fuel Up to Play 60 Program.

Q: What are some of your favorite dairy snacks?

A: Yogurt

 

Q: What is your favorite meal of the day?

A: Breakfast

 

Q: What is your favorite dish to have at that meal?

A: A cheese omelet, bacon, and a bagel

 

Q: What have you been doing to get 60 minutes of activity each day in quarantine?

A: I have been working out at the Colts facility.

 

Q: How often did you and your family drink milk when you were growing up?

A: I have three siblings, and my parents would have us drink milk with every dinner, we ate cereal and milk often for breakfast, and we would drink chocolate milk after our sports work outs.

 

Q: Who’s your favorite superhero?

A: Hulk

 

Q: What’s your favorite type of music?

A: I like all genres besides metal.

 

Q: Do you have a favorite band or music group?

A: Billy Joel

 

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: Space Jam

 

Q: How tall are you?

A: 6’5″

 

Q: What is your favorite memory from your football career so far?

A: Beating the Kansas City Chiefs on the road on Sunday Night Football.

 

Q: What does your typical, in-season day look like?

A: Film, practice, work out, meetings, rehab, treatment

 

Q: What other hobbies do you have outside of football?

A: Fishing and video games

 

Q: Who would you say is your closest friend on the Colts?

A: The entire offensive line.

 

Q: What’s your secret talent?

A:  Basketball

 

Q: What is your favorite thing to do, outside of football, to be physically active?

A: Basketball, weight lifting, and running

 

Q: Is there a significance to you choosing to wear #56?

A: I looked up to Lawrence Taylor.

 

Q: How did it make you feel to make the Pro Bowl your first two seasons in the NFL?

A: Great! – It’s an honor.

 

Q: What advice do you have for students to stay healthy through in FUTP60?

A: Eat healthy and take gym class seriously.

 

Q: Are there any additional thoughts or pieces of advice you want to share with students across Indiana?

A: Do well in school and make good decisions.
