Spicy Queso Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

1 tbsp salsa con queso

2 slices whole wheat bread

1/2 tsp horseradish sauce

2 slices pepper jack cheese, divided

1/2 tsp sriracha sauce

Directions

  • Heat skillet to medium.
  • Spread salsa con queso onto one side of both bread slices.
  • On cutting board, spread horseradish sauce onto one slice pepper jack cheese then top with the Cheddar.
  • Spread sriracha onto second slice pepper jack and place over the Cheddar, sriracha-side down.
  • Place one bread slice, queso-side down, in skillet; top with the stack of cheeses and the second bread slice, queso-side up.
  • Cook 3 minutes; flip. Cook 3 minutes; flip.
  • Continue cooking and flipping until cheeses are melted and sandwich is browned.
  • Remove from skillet; cut in half. Garnish with pico de gallo if desired.
