Ingredients
 4 ½ cups milk
 2 ¼ cups sugar
  tsp salt
 6 jumbo egg yolks, beaten
 3 tbsp vanilla
 3 cups whipping cream
 3 cups half and half
Directions

Scald milk over low heat. Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved.

Pour milk over beaten egg yolks, slowly.

Beat mixture until well blended.

Stir and cook in a double boiler until it reaches 160 degrees. Chill.

Fold in vanilla, whipping cream, and half and half. Churn until frozen.
