Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
16 oz canned pumpkin puree
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
1 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (or to taste)
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp black pepper
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup whole milk
sage leaves, ground cumin and Swiss cheese for garnishes

In large saucepan melt butter, onions and sauté for 5-7 minutes.

Add garlic and cook 2 more minutes.

Add pumpkin puree and sauté for 3-4 minutes until golden and caramelized.

Add remaining spices and stir well.

Slowly add chicken stock and blend well.

Bring to a simmer; add milk and heat until warm.
